Willard E. Schoppe, age 85, a life-long resident of Bensenville, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born September 20, 1932 in Elk Grove, IL, the son of Reinhardt and Viola (nee Everding) Schoppe. He graduated from Bensenville Community High School in 1950. He was co-owner of Reliable Trucking Company with his brother, Robert and cousin Edward Prehm from 1950-1970. He served in the US Army and was awarded a Purple Heart after being wounded in action on July 13, 1953 in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1205 for over 63 years. He was also a member of VFW Post 2149 and Lion’s Club. Willard married Elizabeth A. (nee Hasse) on February 8, 1958. He spent 36 years of his life serving the community on the Bensenville Fire Department. He joined the Bensenville Volunteer Fire Department in 1957; served as Assistant Fire Chief from 1970-1980; in 1982 was appointed Fire Chief where he served in this capacity until he retired on November 29, 1993. Willard headed the Fire Prevention Bureau for 12 years prior to being appointed Fire Chief. Through his years on the Fire Department he was instrumental in advancing the areas of fire inspection and prevention in the community and oversaw the development and construction of Fire Station #2 on Foster Ave., which was named in his honor upon his retirement.
Willard is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Schoppe; cherished children, Kimberly, Kenneth and Karen (Donald) Draxler; loving grandchildren, Evan, Aaron and Sarah Draxler; brother, Reinhardt (Elizabeth) Schoppe; sister-in-law, Loretta Schoppe; sister-in-law Joyce Cutler; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; father and mother-in-law, Fred and Alvina Hasse; brother-in-law, Donald Hasse; and son-in-law, Dean Hilke.

Lloyd L. Seltzer preceded by Lois, his wife of more than 50 years. Loving and loved father of Harris (Barb), Steve (Vera) and Murray (Lisa); Grandfather of Dylan, Amanda, Lindsey and Cody. Loved son, brother and uncle; beloved to many whose lives he touched.
A lifelong Scouter, former Scoutmaster of Troop 850, he committed his life to the training of both youth and adults. Proud WWII vet and the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Continuing his tradition of service to others he wished to make an anatomical gift, no immediate funeral services are planned. A memorial to be held in the near future.

Wendy Wynn Deslauriers (nee Kupisch), born on October 30, 1957, passed away February 10, 2018 at the age of 60 after a brief battle with gall bladder cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Mary Kupisch; and two siblings, Lance W. Kupisch and Grant Emil Kupisch. Wendy is survived by her sister Pamela (James) Bouwman; brother William (Cathy) Kupisch; and sisters Debbbie (Craig) Krzyston and Kim Brondyke. She was the fond aunt and great aunt of many.
Wendy grew up in Bensenville, IL and graduated from Fenton High School. Always happier in warm and sunny weather, Wendy lived in several southern states before calling Ft. Lauderdale, FL her home fifteen years ago. Wendy’s warm and fun-loving spirit made her the toast of every event she attended, and she was loved by many, both in Florida and in Illinois. Wendy will always forever be in the hearts of all who loved her; however, she would want you to know that her first love was Jesus Christ.

Isabelle F. Sunko (nee Kleszewski), born in Threes Lakes Wisconsin on July 26, 1919, passed away February 9, 2018 at the age of 98.
Preceded in death by her parents Henry and Stephanie Kleszewski, her 11 siblings and her beloved husband, Stanley J. Sunko. Isabelle is survived by her daughters; Joanne (the late Bruce) Borck ,Gail (Jim) Raynolds and Patricia (the late Peter) Imof, grandchildren; Christopher Raynolds, Alissa Borck (Geoff Gebhard), Colin Borck (John Arter), Alexander and Steffan Imhof, and great-grandsons; Matthew and Barrett Gebhard.
Prior to marriage, Isabelle was a supervisor for Bell Telephone during World War II. She had been a resident of Bensenville for over 60 years and a deeply devoted member of St. Alexis Parish. She was an avid gardener, loved fishing with her beloved husband in northern Wisconsin, where she grew up, and a devoted volunteer whenever there was a need at her church. She was a communion minister bringing the Sacrament and her caring support to the homebound as well as a joyous member of the church choir. She later worked at the Fenton High School Cafeteria and so enjoyed her daily contact with the students and faculty. She was a dear and loving friend to all who knew her, sharing her infectious sense of humor with all. She dearly loved all of her grandchildren and was blessed to know her great-grandsons.
